4 Days and 3 Nights from Aswan to Luxor (Thursdays)

Day 1: Arrival Aswan and Start of Cruise

The stone quarries of ancient Egypt located in Aswan were specially known for the granitic rock called Syenite. These rocks furnished the colossal statues, obelisks, and monolithic shrines that are found throughout Egypt. Upon arrival in Aswan airport or train station you will be met by our representative to assist you for transfer by on a private air-conditioned vehicle to your MS Grand Princess Nile Cruise Boat for embarkation before Lunch. After lunch join a knowledgeable Egyptologist guide for an amazing tour to visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries and the Temple of Philae with dinner and overnight in Aswan.

 

Day 2: Enjoying Kom Ombo and Edfu - The Two Neighboring Temples Along the Nile

Enjoy breakfast on board served and freshly made by the amazing chefs onboard. Cruise upstream to Kom Ombo to visit the Temple that is shared by two gods Sobek and Haeroris. For lunch return to the ship to enjoy some freshly made meals while sailing to Edfu to see the amazing and most preserved temple in Egypt the Horus Temple made for the Elder Horus god. Once done seeing the sights in Edfu return on board to sail to Esna where you will be spending the night before sailing to Luxor.

 

Day 3: See Luxor - The Famous Temples in Egypt

The morning will be spent sailing downstream to Luxor. Have breakfast and lunch onboard before exploring the Nile Rivers East Bank in Luxor. Get on a sightseeing excursion, visiting the Karnak and Luxor temples. You will be transferred back to the Nile cruise ship for afternoon tea and dinner on board with overnight aboard the , MS Grand princess Nile Cruise Boat in Luxor.

 

Day 4: Luxor Sights and End of Tour

Today will be end of the tour, have an early breakfast then disembark to prepare for a tour of Luxor’s western bank of the River Nile. The west bank is sight of the Valley of the Kings, the temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir EL Bahari and the Colossi Memnon. You will be given some free time for personal leisure and shopping before transferring to the airport or train station.

Day 1: Arrival Luxor Start of the Cruise

Luxor was the ancient city of Thebes, the great capital of Egypt during the New Kingdom, and the glorious city of the god Amon-Ra. When in Luxor there is no shortage of sights to see, upon arrival a 123EgyptTours.com representative will meet and assist at Luxor airport or train station. After which you will then be transferred by private air-conditioned vehicle to the cruise for embarkation just before lunch. After lunch join a tour of East Bank of the Nile River in Luxor site of the Karnak and Luxor temples. Return to the , MS Grand princess Nile Cruise Boat for afternoon tea and dinner and overnight aboard the Nile cruise vessel in Luxor.

 

Day 2: The Sights in Luxor’s West Bank - Amazing Necropolis Areas

Get an early morning meal then join a tour to the West Bank of the River Nile in Luxor. This western side is home to the Valley of the Kings and Queens, El Deir EL Bahari’s Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi Memnon. Return to the cruise for lunch, afternoon tea while sailing to Edfu via Esna Lock. Dinner and overnight stay on board the Nile cruise vessel at Edfu.

 

Day 3: The Sites in Edfu and Kom Ombo

Edfu is practically halfway to Aswan, and is mostly known because of the famous temple that is on this city. Together with your tour guide, get to see the Horus temple one of the best preserved temple in Egypt. After the tour return to ship for lunch while you cruise towards Kom Ombo the site of the temple shared by Sobek and Haroeris. Continue sailing to Aswan where you will spend the night and have dinner.

 

Day 4: Sites in Aswan - Great Architecture

The last city along Egypt’s Nile. When there visit the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk among the granite quarries and the Philae temple. Philae, being accounted as one of the burying-places of Osiris, was held in high reverence both by the Egyptians to the north and the Nubians to the south. Day 1: Arrival Luxor

On arrival in Luxor you will be met by a representative from 123EgyptTours.com to assist you at the Luxor airport or train station. You will then be transferred to MS Grand princess Nile Cruise Boat by a private air-conditioned car to the cruise for embarkation just before lunch. Rest and enjoy the nightly entertainment and leisure before dinner.

 

Day 2: See the East Bank of Luxor

There are no shortages of sights to see in Luxor. This day will be dedicated to see the sights along the Nile River’s east bank. The Karnak and Luxor Temples are located at this part of Luxor. The main god of the city was Amon, who was worshiped together with his wife, the Goddess Mut, and their son Khonsu. After enjoying the sights in Luxor sail upstream to Esna where you will be spending the night.

 

Day 3: Tour Edfu - The Most Preserved Temple of Horus

From Esna, you will now be going towards Edfu, get some early breakfast before a sightseeing tour in Edfu. The Temple of Horus is a Ptolemaic origin- the best preserved major temple in Egypt. The temple is dedicated to the falcon god Horus and was built over a 180-year period from 237 BC to 57 BC. Just before the entrance to the first of two hypostyle halls is a welcoming statue of Horus. After the day tour continue sailing to Aswan.

 

Day 4: Tour Aswan - Egypt's Southernmost City

Aswan is known to be Egypt’s southernmost city. When at Aswan pay a visit to the High Dam in Aswan, the Unfinished Obelisk and the majestic Philae temple. Towards the evening take felucca ride and see the Botanical garden on board the MS Grand princess Nile Cruise Boat.

 

Day 5: Optional Tour to Abu Simbel

This day is set for optional visits or a free day either onboard or around Aswan. In the morning go around Abu Simbel a set of two temples near the border of Egypt with Sudan. It was constructed for the pharaoh Rameses II. In the afternoon go for a felucca ride to the botanical Garden. Stay for the night aboard the MS Grand princess Nile Cruise Boat while docked in Aswan.

 

Day 6: Kom Ombo Sightseeing

Sail early to Kom Ombo, while watching the sunrise and having early breakfast. A result of the unification of two adjacent temples, each temple is dedicated to a certain god. The two gods were the crocodile-headed Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world and the falcon-headed Horus, the solar war god. Return to the cruise to sail towards Luxor where you will be spending the night.

 

Day 7: Luxor Tours

Enjoy some early breakfast, and then you will be transferred to the West Bank of the River Nile in Luxor to the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir EL Bahari and the Colossi Memnon. Return to the cruise for lunch and some free time on board. Dinner and overnight aboard the Nile cruise vessel in Luxor.

 

Day 8: End of Tour
